Why MindMe?
In education, we are increasingly seeing young people struggling with stress, pressure to perform, and mental overload.
More than 1 in 3 young people aged 12 to 25 experience psychological complaints such as sadness, anxiety, or stress (Trimbos, 2023). In secondary education, approximately 50% of students even report feeling a lot of pressure to perform (HBSC research, 2021). This affects not only their well-being but also their academic performance and social development. MindMe offers an effective, accessible way to help young people become more resilient, better manage their emotions, and find peace in a world full of distractions and stimuli. By structurally integrating mindfulness and self-development, schools invest in the mental well-being of their students, and thereby also in a positive school climate and the chance of better academic performance.

Method
Program content
We prefer working with fixed times and small, fixed groups. We always tailor the trainer's deployment to the school's needs. Sometimes a subject session is dedicated to mindfulness, while at another school it is an after-school or supplementary program.
Trainers
Our trainers are young (using the peer method), committed, and have a heart for young people and for the mission of MindMe. They possess the right knowledge and experience in the fields of mindfulness and teaching, and often have a background in coaching, psychology, or education. What truly sets them apart is their ability to empathize with the world of young people. They understand what it is like to grow up in a society full of stimuli and expectations. They dare to be vulnerable and engage in conversation with students based on sincerity and equality. Accessibility is essential in this regard: precisely because our trainers are accessible and approachable, even topics that sometimes encounter resistance or taboos become discussable and accessible to everyone. In this way, a safe and open atmosphere forms the basis of our approach. From that safety, we build sustainable relationships: with students *and* with the school team. Additionally, all our trainers hold a valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG).
Practical exercises
and insights that help young people to: - recognize and reduce stress, - concentrate better, - understand and regulate emotions, - build resilience and self-confidence.
Flexibility
We understand that building relationships and integrating a new methodology takes time. Therefore, we offer a flexible program tailored to the needs of the organization/school and the young people. This usually lasts between 4 and 10 weeks. The bond with the school and the student is always central to our approach. In this way, we not only plant seeds but also see actual growth.
Collaborations
We enjoy working with stakeholders: from mentors to management, and from parents to the young people themselves. How exactly? We decide that together, without any hassle. Just whatever fits your rhythm and culture. Whether you want to contribute ideas occasionally or actively get involved: everything is allowed, nothing is mandatory. We are precisely not here to burden you unnecessarily. Our motto is therefore: 'un-meeting'. In this way, we not only help young people but also make things a little easier for everyone. We are also happy to brainstorm with you if we can be of any help to the team regarding mindfulness and self-development.
Long term
We prefer to enter into a partnership for a full school year. In this way, we increase the impact and the likelihood of lasting, positive change and a mindful school climate. Once we have demonstrated positive growth together with our trainers, we also aim to eventually offer the opportunity to train and guide teachers. In this way, we introduce mindfulness in an accessible manner, with the goal of sustainably embedding it in the school culture.
